Florian Asche studied law and history at the Universities of Göttingen and Würzburg and was an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Civil and Comparative Law at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena. In 1996, he obtained his doctorate and has practiced law in Germany and the United States. From 2002 to 2007 he worked at the Institute for Foundation Law and Non Profit Organisation Law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and was responsible for the team writing the annual Non Profit Law Yearbook (Bucerius Law School Press).
