I am many things: an author, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a lawyer of latter day, an Ivy League snob, a professor of insecurities, a playground philosopher, an overthinker of existence… The list goes on. And on. Like many of you (all of us?) I wear many hats, perhaps too many. For many years now, I have struggled with the simple and profound question of identity.
At a cocktail party, when people ask me what I do, I’ve historically stumbled my way through something like well, I am a lawyer but I no longer practice and I write now, and I take care of my three young girls… I write books and raise girls {in the wildness of NYC}.Wildness? A reference to Thoreau who is one of my favorite thinkers.
My first novel Life After Yes was published in 2010 by Avon which is an imprint of HarperCollins. I am hard at work on my second novel, a contemporary story about three women who met at Yale. I am represented by Brettne Bloom of Kneerim & Williams. See more at: http://ivyleagueinsecurities.com/
