Ellery Akers is a California writer and naturalist who has always been fascinated by the non-human world. She’s the author of four books—most recently, Swerve: Environmentalism, Feminism, and Resistance, her latest collection of poems. She is the winner of thirteen awards, including the Poetry International Prize and an Independent Publisher Award.
