Jamie Bails is a college-educated journalist turned stream restoration biologist who writes essays about the intersection of humans and ecology. When not working to restore local rivers, kayaking in the Puget Sound, or hiking the North Cascades with a sidekick corgi, she muses about wildlife, botany and gardening, and dreams about traveling to faraway places from her home in Snohomish, WA.
