Lokotah Sanborn is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker. He was raised on the Penobscot Nation reservation near Old Town, Maine. His work is rooted in historical analysis and land-based practices influenced by his experience in community organizing for land return, cultural preservation, and Indigenous sovereignty. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States. He currently resides in Bangor, Maine.
