Margot Higgins is a visiting professor in the Environmental Studies Department at Macalester.
She has had the great privilege of spending the last decade living and conducting research in the socio-ecological setting of Alaska’s Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. In addition to her history of scholarship and activism within the academy, she has worked professionally as a journalist, documentary filmmaker, campaign organizer, and non-profit leader.
