Mercia Kandukira was born in Omaruru, Namibia where she obtained her B.Ed at the University of Namibia. As a Fulbright scholar, Mercia obtained her MA in English Creative Writing at Binghamton University, where she now pursues a doctoral degree in English. Her prose has appeared in Windmill: the Hofstra Journal of Literature and Art, in Alchemy Literary Magazine, and elsewhere.
