White text overlaid on a blurred image of a road winding through trees with autumn leaves says, "Submissions are open for book manuscript proposals. The books branch of Humans & Nature Press is accepting submissions of single-author book manuscript proposals from September 30 through November 25. Review full guidelines & FAQs at the link. humansandnature.org/book-manuscript-proposals." There is an illustration of a pen above the URL and a logo on the top left-hand side of the image that says "Humans & Nature Press" paired with a braided knot.

Dear Reader,

We are happy to share that submissions are now open for our inaugural call for single-author book manuscript proposals.

The Center for Humans & Nature is home to a press and farm that explore in-depth and diverse perspectives about what it means to be human in an interconnected world. The books branch of Humans & Nature Press is seeking manuscripts that speak to the Center’s mission: to explore and promote human responsibilities in relation to nature—the whole community of life.

To submit your manuscript proposal, please see further details below and thoroughly review our submission guidelines here.

For submissions to the digital branch of Humans & Nature Press, which accepts essays, poetry, and artwork, stay tuned for next year’s open call!

Read this week’s full newsletter here, and submit your manuscript proposal here.

Much love,
Center for Humans & Nature
