Petals Fall

Lilac petals fall

upon

a single nettle leaf

And carry

on a wind

into the river

And in

to

Sea.

Like this,

making Love

is a falling to pieces,

A generative undoing

of self

into the whole.

Thank you, Spring

for allowing us a chance

to forgive

And to make room

for your sweet light

to move.
