Qi Feng Lin received his PhD at McGill University’s Department of Natural Resource Sciences and School of Environment. He lives in his native Singapore, where he is a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University. Qi Feng focused on the concept of the self in United States forestry during the Progressive era. To formulate an ecologically sound concept of the self, he studied the writings of Aldo Leopold and the ancient Chinese thinker, Zhuangzi. His research interests include environmental history, environmental literature, narrative ethics, and Daoist thought.
