Question

Seriously?

Let’s see—our species has expanded beyond ecologically stable numbers by several order of magnitude, and then pushed beyond that by several more by discovering nonecological and mostly non-renewable energy sources to drive the conversion of photosynthetic productivity into human food production. And then we’ve hit a hitch: climate change. And we think, no worries, we can keep up the same pattern of total ecological subjugation so long as we address a minor n-th order side effect of our project, certain problematic emissions from our energy generation process. And the only question then is how to convince people that this minor technofix is necessary and to agree on a way to fix it so we can get on with our world domination project?

Seriously?
