Shai Zakai is an artist, photographer, writer, ecological activist, and healer. She founded the Israeli Forum for Ecological Art and creates “Tikkun olam” from her Photography & Eco-Art Centre and clinic.
Zakai has exhibited in more than seventy solo and group exhibitions around the world. Her works can be found in both private and museum collections. She is known for “Concrete Creek,” a three-year project leading and performing the cleanup of a polluted creek in the Elah Valley, and for her international library of leaves installation and books, “Forest Tunes- The Library.”
