Following the amazing Geography of Hope conference in Point Reyes Station, California, this past weekend, the blog is following this slug’s lead (see photo above, which was taken in Point Reyes) and taking a little time to get to the next destination.

The slug did want me to deliver one message. The book Wildness: Relations of People and Place is available for pre-order and will be shipping in a week or so. The slug is excited. He encourages you, as a non-slug with the ability to read human words, to get the book. The volume is co-edited by Gavin Van Horn (the City Creatures Blog editor) and includes several essays about urban wildness. You can also visit our webpage for the book, which includes a couple of videos that feature Wildness contributors discussing what wildness means to them. Take a peek.

The City Creatures Blog will be back in action next Tuesday. Until then, here’s hoping you find a moment or two to relax and indulge your inner slug.
