Taiyon J. Coleman is a poet, essayist, and educator. She is Associate Professor of English and Women’s Studies at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Her poetry and essays have appeared in numerous collections and magazines. Her book, Working toward Racial Equity in First-Year Composition (Routledge Research in Higher Education Series), was published in 2019.
